On March 12, 2004, at around 10:30 p.m., Clarence Rogstad, 23, left his apartment on Windsor Drive in Bellevue, Wisconsin to go out for a walk. His wife of two months, Cristi, said he had expressed concerns about his mother's heart condition and said he needed some fresh air. His body was found in the East River near Green Bay, Wisconsin on April 9, on what would have been his three-month anniversary.

Search and Recovery
After a "widely publicized search" involving helicopters, "volunteers, horseback riders, and trained dogs," his body was found in the East River near Green Bay, Wisconsin on April 9, on what would have been his three-month anniversary.
Police were unaware that Rogstad had knowingly ate a candy bar laced with psychedelic mushrooms, a prevalent drug in the area, and was possibly hallucinating. They say this could have affected the way they conducted the search, but not necessarily changed the outcome.
While Clarence was still missing, his parents had said he did not drink or do drugs; and even on his wedding day drank just a half glass of champagne.
Strange coincidences
Clarence disappeared the day before Jared Dion, who was from LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He was found in the East River in Wisconsin (some men have been found in the East River in New York. Clarence's mother also finds it eerie that Clarence went by "CJ," the same initials as Chris Jenkins. Like Chris, he also left behind one sister.
